Read to Survive in 2025 Book Challenge
Welcome back (or for the first time) to our second annual CoffeeTree Books Reading Challenge! Participants who purchase books from us in our 12 pre-determined categories in 2025 will be entered into a drawing for prizes. Join anytime! Miss a month or few? No worries; you can catch up! The challenge is open to all ages and reading levels. We will have an in-store display if you're looking for inspiration but don't feel limited to our suggestions.

Rules for Entry:
You must purchase one book from each themed category in 2025. Purchases are in store only and must be applied to your Page Turner's account* for verification to qualify for drawings. Prize winners will be announced in January 2026.

*The Page Turner program is our free frequent buyer rewards program. If you don't have one, we will be happy to sign you up. Once you spend $200 on qualifying purchases, you receive a $20 coupon to spend at CoffeeTree Books.
November Theme: Mend and Make Do
Holidays are just around the corner! Before your calendar overflows, harness the power of DIY — be it for gifts, just for fun or pure functionality. From crafting to art to building, everything you make or dream about making qualifies when you choose a skills-based book. We have a display of staff picks that are 10% off, but there are many other selections on the shelves and seasonal displays to shop, as well.

October Theme: Thrill Seekers
Fall is creeping in and there's no betterway to celebrate than to scare the wits out of yourself with a good mystery, thriller or horror book.

September Theme: Power of the Press
There's power in small things — small businesses rejoice — and small presses are no exception! Grab a title from one of our small presses to make a big impact.

August Theme: Journey in to Self
Forget a journey to the center of the Earth; there is no more perilous and rewarding adventure as the one to the center of your soul! Grab a self-help book, a healthy living guide or a philosophical title to dig deep into what it means to be you.

July Theme: Graphic Means
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then graphic novels are veritable tomes. Multiply your word count by reading a graphic novel, manga, or light novel from our suggestions on the display or any where in the store, including kids.

June Theme: Memoir of Snail
Come out of your shell and bask in rays of another person or persons' point of view. Grab a memoir or biography from our suggestions on the display or any where in the store, including kids and graphic novels.

May Theme: The Kentuckian
May is a beautiful and busy time in Kentucky — Derby and Keeneland, anyone? So, it is the perfect time to feature works by Kentucky authors.
April Theme: The Classic
April is ringing in some classic anniversaries — from movies like "Jaws" to books like The Great Gatsby. We are hopping on the celebration wagon with this month's theme: The Classic.

March: Weird Science

March into spring with a book about science and/or nature. Dig into gardening, study the habits of trees or animals, count your math skills, or read something Remarkably Bright. This genre is wide open.

February: Hidden Figures
Pick up a book by or about a diverse figure — be it race, gender, ethnicity, disability, neurological or other differences — to share a little brotherly love to your fellow humans.

January: Forever Young

Feel like a kid (or teen) again! Choose any kids or young adult title.
